Memorial Day

My first blog post. Thought this would be a good way to document our boys growing years.   I just wish I had thought of this earlier.

We just got back from a fun filled weekend with Doug's family in New Jersey.  Uncle Mark and Aunt Nicole are moving to Dallas in a few weeks and we all met up in NJ to bid them farewell.  The drive went well.  The boys were actually very good and there was no traffic.  We avoided 95 at all costs and picked up any back road that could get us there.  All in all it was a good trip.  We spent Saturday at Uncle Kevin, Aunt Heather and cousins, Andrew, Maddie and Hannah's house. Grandma and R loved the game Headbandz and then R enjoyed a game of basketball with his uncles and cousin Andrew. We had the most delicious ice cream cake from a shop in Stirling.  We got back to UM and AN house really late Saturday night and then spent Sunday morning at a park.  We arrived back in Richmond around 3 Sunday after a couple stops at Wegman's.

Monday, we cleaned up, finished laundry and then spent an hour or two at the pool.  After the pool we came home and blew bubbles and the C-man went down for a nap while mommy and R finished book 14 of the Magic Tree House books.  Daddy taught R to play chess, which seemed like the only thing he wanted to do the rest of the day... including teaching me.

After dinner, we all walked to the tennis courts and hit the ball as C man checked out the fence around the courts. He enjoys picking leaves off trees and then bringing them to us.  It sure keeps him busy while mommy, daddy and R hit the ball around.  We all came home to ice cream cones on the deck..... a first for Cman!

Back to work tomorrow!
